Child Protection Case Management - COVID19 Decision-Making on Essential Personal Interactions

High risk cases might require home visits or individual follow up in-person and most vulnerable children and families during the outbreak will require social support implying personal interactions. In some cases, it might be possible to do so rremotely, but in other situations, such measures might be impossible. If national or local confinement measures are being implemented, social services (including humanitarian Child Protection Case Management activities) are usually considered as essential services by governments, and social service workers may be granted freedom of movement for work reasons. This flow chart helps in determining the type of interaction needed.
