Building Capacity in Mental Health and Psychosocial Care:  A training manual for health care workers & community workers in refugee settings in the African Great Lake Area is a facilitator’s guide designed to build capacity in mental health and psychosocial care among refugee camps in order to address the complex and pressing needs of this vulnerable population. It was developed in response to a Situation and Needs Assessment of Mental Health and Psychosocial Support among refugee camps in Tanzania, Rwanda and Burundi conducted in 2009 and a strategic planning workshop held in April 2010 in Bujumbura.
