Report of the Mapping and Analysis of Ghana’s Child Protection System

The objective of this child protection systems mapping and analysis is to provide stakeholders with a descriptive profile of their existing system, and an initial assessment of its contextual appropriateness and relevance to the populations being served. The National Child Welfare Workforce Institute Leadership Competency Framework

The purpose of the National Child Welfare Workforce Institute (NCWWI) is to build the capacity of the nation’s child welfare workforce and improve outcomes for children and families. Leadership Academy for Middle Managers (LAMM): Coaching manual

The Leadership Academy for Middle Managers (LAMM) seeks to develop leadership skills for sustainable systems change to improve outcomes for children, youth, and families. Funded by the Children’s Bureau and part of the National Child Welfare Workforce Institute (NCWWI), the LAMM facilitates leadership development of child welfare middle managers across the country who work in public and tribal child welfare systems and in private agencies that provide services traditionally provided by state child welfare agencies.

Leadership Academy for Middle Managers (LAMM): LAMM curriculum

Implementation of the national strategy and action plan for the reform of the residential childcare system in Moldova 2007-2012: Evaluation report

This evaluation was commissioned by UNICEF and its government partners to evaluate the results and achievements of the implementation of the National Strategy and Action Plan. In July 2007 the Government of Moldova approved a National Strategy and Action Plan to reform its residential childcare system. At the time, 12,000 children were thought to be living in large orphanages and boarding schools in Moldova.

This report investigates the findings of the 2012 Evaluation of Implementation of the National Strategy and Action Plan on the Reform of the Residential Childcare System for 2007-2012. In particular, the evaluation found that despite significant results in the number of children leaving residential care in Moldova, there were very few children living in foster care.

National Survey of Institutions for Children in Rwanda

The purpose of the survey was to obtain an accurate picture of the current institutional system and the children living within it which can be used to inform decision-making regarding the implementation of the reform strategy and provide a baseline against which progress can be measured in the future. For this reason Hope and Homes for Children, in partnership with the Ministry of Gender and Family Promotion (MIGEPROF), conducted a national survey of all institutions for children in Rwanda.
